FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this legal and safe?

Yes. Lone Peak Health connects you with a licensed nurse practitioner who evaluates you before anything is prescribed. Testosterone and GLP-1 medications are FDA-regulated and dosed to your labs, with ongoing monitoring.

Do you take insurance?

Our services are cash-pay, which keeps things simple and affordable. But you can use HSA/FSA cards, request a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, and run labs or covered medications through your own insurance at the lab or pharmacy.

How much does it cost?

$59/mo for the membership ($89 for couples) — app, tracking, and your care team. Medications and labs are billed to you directly by the pharmacy or lab — we never buy, resell, or mark anything up. We make money on membership, not your prescriptions.

Where are you available?

We're built in northern Utah County — launching with Lehi, Saratoga Springs, and Eagle Mountain — and we can see any patient in Utah by telehealth. We'll expand state by state from there.

How fast can I start?

Sign-up takes minutes. Once your bloodwork is in (we'll help you get it, or read what you have), your provider builds your plan — typically within days, not weeks.

Do I need bloodwork?

Just a simple check — A1C, metabolic panel, lipids — not a giant panel. Plus a DEXA scan so we track fat vs muscle, not just scale weight. Upload, text, or email what you have, or we'll order it. Full hormone panels come with the hormone program.

When does hormone therapy launch?

Soon. We're launching with medical weight loss and adding testosterone (men and women) and thyroid next. Members get first access — join now and you're at the front of the line.

Can I use my own supplements?

Absolutely. We recommend Nutricost (Utah-made, third-party tested) and can ship on auto-ship, but you're free to bring any brand you trust. We give you the formula and dose.

How do I keep my medication costs down?

We send your prescription wherever it's cheapest for you — your insurance, a local pharmacy, or transparent-pricing pharmacies like Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs for generics. Because we never mark anything up, we have every reason to point you to the lowest price. Health shouldn't be expensive.

Is going on a GLP-1 scary?

It shouldn't be — supervised correctly, it's one of the most-studied medication classes of the last decade. We start at the lowest dose, increase slowly, and Elizabeth manages side effects with you week by week. Most members describe it as the food noise going quiet. And you can stop anytime.

Will I lose muscle on the shot?

Only if you do it the lazy way. Rapid weight loss without strength training burns muscle — which is why every Lone Peak plan includes lifting, protein-first nutrition, and DEXA scans that show exactly what you're losing (fat) and keeping (muscle).

Do I have to work out?

Yes — and we'll meet you wherever you're starting. Strength training on a GLP-1 isn't optional; it protects your muscle and metabolism so results last. Your plan starts simple and builds.

Is this medication forever?

That's not the goal. The medication quiets appetite so new habits can take root — protein, training, sleep. Many members taper off with Elizabeth's guidance and keep their results. We plan the exit from day one.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Membership is month-to-month with no contract.
